Eden Gardens

"Eden Gardens looks forward to building a community house for the people of the neighborhood, a place where children can learn life skills such as eating healthy, cooking, sewing, farming, and canning. The community house will be a place for youth to learn leadership skills and make decisions on what they would like in their neighborhood ultimately guiding them to make better decisions in their lives and in our world," Eden Gardens Block Club

WE ARE EDEN GARDENS

In this community roughly bounded by Gratiot Avenue on the west, Houston-Whittier Street on the north, Chalmers Street on the east and Outer Drive on the south, residents take pride in their neighborhood and are committed to a vision of a safe, clean, viable and green living environment. Through the community garden located six blocks north of the city airport, the Eden Gardens Block Club helps youths express themselves and builds relationships with seniors. Residents are working to address the neighborhood's continued viability and to halt further devastation and abandonment of houses in the area by beautifying and improving the community.
